Forget me knot
The topknot has been gaining steam for a while now (Behnaz Sarafpour Spring 2004, Hermes Spring 2008) and its status as the hair trend du jour has been cemented with its regular appearance on the runway this year.
Although the topknot is Asian in origin, it is strikingly similar to the 'shuku' a traditional Nigerian hairstyle:

so i just followed you hehehe, your post had made me believe strognly that Africa has always had a strong sense of fashion that like other aspects of our culture has been ignored, over shadowed and relegated as either uncivilized or not up to standards. love he african knots will surely rock it for the channel o music video awads im attending this year..yiiippeeee
